The all-new Kia Sportage is fresh and bold, so unique it could not be mistaken for anything but a KIA. Embodying Kia’s new-found visual dynamism by taking key features of an off-road vehicle and combining these with a sleek and urban-friendly design, the Kia Sportage is athletic, muscular and distinctive from every angle.
Proportioned with dynamic lines, a striking radiator grille, black bezel and LED Daytime Running Lights the new Sportage AWD is also fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, portraying a sleek posture. The Kia Sportage has also been designed with multi-layered combination lamps and separated indicator lights, a wider tailgate, a high mounted brake light as well as roof rails.
The interior of the Kia Sportage offers functionality, luxurious space and comfort to the driver and passengers. With a multifunctional steering wheel equipped with Audio Remote Control and Cruise Control along with a circular gauge cluster with fluorescent needles and Start/Stop button with smart key to further enhance the interior of the Sportage.
The next generation Sportage is also fitted with a rear view camera and RPAS (Rear Parking Assist System), an upgraded sound system with subwoofer and external amplifier, dual climate control, a cooling glovebox, powered driver seat, an automatic dusk sensor and a day/night rear view mirror adding to a more convenient and safer trip.
The Sportage AWD is available in either a 2.0 or 2.4 petrol engine as well as an R2.0 VGT diesel engine. The AWD drivetrain manages difficult driving conditions with ease on low traction surfaces whereby whenever a front wheel loses grip, a percentage of torque is automatically transferred to the rear wheels to maintain forward momentum.
Fitted with state of the art safety features, the new Sportage ensures the highest level of occupant protection by utilising Electronic Stability Control (ESC) optimising brake-force distribution, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) a Brake Assist System (BAS) and Cornering Brake Control (CBC) to maximise braking power, braking force and traction. Other standard safety features include; Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Downhill Brake Control (DBC), a 6 airbag system including dual front, side and full length curtain airbags as well as child anchors at the back.
