| Kia shows fun new Rio
Kia has a big surprise in store for its fans at the 2011 Geneva auto show where it will reveal the all-new Rio alongside the new Picanto.
The company has revealed that it will show its next generation Rio and issued these the first images as proof.
The Rio’s styling is finally in line with that of its siblings and, under the guidance of design head Peter Schreyer, has a bolder look and more distinctive styling.

BIGGER, BADDER
The new Rio’s take on the Kia grille sees the integration of the headlights and a strong wedge profile gives the new hatchback a more dynamic look. The new car is bigger than before; its wheelbase of 2570mm is longer by 70mm, overall length has grown by 55mm and the car is 25mm wider.
Kia says the cabin has a higher level of quality along with a wide selection of trim options.
In Europe, the newcomer will be sold with a range of fuel-efficient and clean petrol and turbodiesel engines, including a new high-performance 1.2-litre petrol engine that joins the range from 2012.
The all-new Rio will be launched in South Africa in August, 2011. |
